When a shop owner asked me to do a ‘Meet the Author evening’ I was mystified as to why anyone would want to come. Most of us probably picture the author of a book they enjoyed (or haven’t even read!) as tucked away at a desk scrawling reams of paper or pounding a keyboard with various degrees of dexterity and speed.

Making some notes for the evening I realised they probably didn’t expect to hear about dragging my family to far off forests to sleep among snakes or get up close and personal with tarantulas and walk-on-water lizards. I began to realise my quest for The Children of Gaia wasn’t perhaps an ordinary journey, especially for a book of ‘fiction’ (though some readers dispute this categorising).

You can get a taste for these adventures on this website. But you might want to delve deeper in the what why and how of The Children of Gaia by attending a talk in person or joining me over the Internet with your book club or writer’s group .

Fill in a Workshop & Talks Enquiry form or send me an email. I’d love to hear from you.
